What is play anyway?
I always knew my searches of "play" would come up with sex sites, computer games stores and football but I didn't expect gambling.
No references to rolling down grassy banks, messing around in rock pools, building sandcastles or playing with paint in google's first few pages!
Call me old fashioned, but I had expected my kind of play to feature a bit higher in the google ranks.
It's no coincidence that searching for an image to illustrate this blog; short of those playing sport, there were more animals than adults in the selection available.
Why don't adults play more? Its so good for us.
People who play more are healthier, happier, have better quality relationships and they are more productive at work.
They love their lives more. Isn't that excuse enough for some fun?
Play brings us into the "now". A place where we can't be stressed. So if you are; get out there and jump in some puddles, throw a snowball or two, build a sandcastle or just find something to laugh at.
