When is the best time to play?

I'd say anytime can be playtime; but then I would wouldn't I?

Play means so many different things, even to one person.

Certainly, an attitude of playfulness supports us in every area of our lives.

Is there any situations where playfulness is inappropriate?

Of course. The horrors being experienced by the Japanese people and people living in terror in Lybia for example.

But for the rest of us, an open attitude, looking for the fun and lightness in life can only be helpful.

This enables us to maintain a healthy distance even while we are fully involved.

Not taking ourselves too seriously allows us to welcome the perspective of others, it removes defensiveness and lets us perceive solutions in the darkest of corners.

Be open to laughter, be ready to dance the happy dance, look out of the window and regain your perspective. For the vast majority of us life is pretty sweet.

Playing changes our brains in ways that are good for us.

When we play more we feel happier and if we play regularly the chemicals we release during our play can make long term changes to our brains.

The pathways we're creating within our brains can actually cause us to learn to think differently, be happier.

This can have a lasting effect.

Come along to an Adults Play Workshop to find out what it's all about or join us for a series of workshops.

At the very least it'll be fun but for those who totally commit to the transformation, it will be life changing
