Mica has started Austin DIY Studio in our back house studio in 2021, after the pandemic hit in-person arts & crafts studios in Austin really hard. Many of the local favorite “go tos” closed - and summer camps were a challenge, with gatherings still needing to be small. With back to back summer camps in 2021 and again in 2022, she found a studio space in the heart of Central Austin and officially opened Austin DIY Studio, a makers space for after school art and DIY craft classes, adult workshops, private events and birthday parties. She hosted Thanksgiving and Winter camps and will also be holding summer camps all summer at the studio in 2023.
